Michael Stone
Michael Stone is the President of Stone and Associates and has served as an international strategy consultant for 30 years. His client experience includes government/non-profit economic development organizations that serve manufacturing companies, Fortune 500 companies and small- and mid-market industrial firms. His engagements have required an understanding of global markets throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia, and have involved a wide range of industries, including medical devices and equipment, major appliances, consumer and specialty glass products, personal protective equipment, pharmaceuticals, automotive, specialty wire products, fabricated metal components, plastic products, and fiber optic cable.
Mr. Stone is one of the principal architects of the NIST Manufacturing Export Partnership’s ExporTech program an innovative, structured export growth program that has been highly successful in assisting hundreds of Small and Medium-sized Manufacturers to enter or expand in global markets. As one of the program’s leaders, master facilitators and content developers, he has collaborated with export assistance organizations (US Export Assistance Centers, state trade offices, district export councils, SBDCs, etc.) across dozens of states.
Prior to opening Stone and Associates, Mr. Stone served as a Managing Consultant with Telesis, the strategic consulting arm of Towers Perrin. He holds a B.A. in Development Studies from Brown University. His reports and white papers have been widely published and cited by organizations such as the Brookings Institute, the State Science and Technology Institute, and the National Governor’s Association.
Annette Bossler
Annette Bossler is the founder of Main(e) International Consulting LLC – an international consulting company providing market studies and business development services to companies predominantly in the consumer durables and renewable energy sectors. She has over 25 years of experience in international trade and marketing in the consumer products industry- serving as Vice President of Asia Pacific at Tupperware Brands, Marketing Logistics Director for Waterford Wedgwood, and Brand Manager for Waterford Wedgwood- Japan.
Her energy and heavy industry related projects include: U.S. representation of German engineering firms; Technical Supply Chain and Employment Studies for Maine’s Wind Industry Initiative; Market studies for Hydro Power in Japan’s power market; Floating Offshore Wind Market Reports for the U.S., Europe and Japan; and permitting translations for various international clients. She has represented both private and public entities in foreign direct investment activities including the State of Maine’s renewable energy and advanced materials business attraction programs and various private German engineering and renewable energy groups with U.S. investments.
Ms. Bossler holds an MA Honors Degree from Bonn University, Germany in Japanese Studies and Public & International Law. In addition to her native language German she is fluent in English and Japanese and has basic knowledge of French and Chinese. She holds dual citizenship of the United States and Germany.
